Merry Christmas (Not Holiday, Not Winter Solstice, Not…)

There are times where the “Christmas spirit” seems like you’ll never feel it again.  This part of the family has dinner with that part of the family on Sunday, with you and the other relative on Monday, then Tuesday…and somehow, it becomes more about fulfilling obligation and duty than it does to spend good happy time with the people you love.

I wish you that good, happy time.  I wish you a close encounter with the God of the Universe who loves you very much, right as you are, and who loves you enough to not leave you there.

I have had an amazing Christmas so far, with gracious generosity from those in my church, and have two more days of Christmas dinners planned.  Praying both are good happy times to remember.
