Extending the Invitation Again

It’s my goal to make this blog a better resource for guys who are honestly struggling with loving Jesus and finding healing and restoration for their sexual orientation.  It’s a life-long battle for some, not everyone succeeds, and more often than not, we can end up being shot by our own troops.  We need a consistent stream of more and better support for this battle.  Not just from a casual search on the net, but from all of us together, guided by God.  Facts, experiences, viewpoints…not only our agreements, but our disagreements.

One person has already agreed to write for the blog and starting this summer, I’ll tell you who it is and let him introduce himself.  But I want to make this invitation again to this blog’s new readers.  (Since the last invitation was extended, this blog’s readership has increased, on the average, by 65 additional viewers.)  We don’t always have to see eye to eye on the “open hand issues,” but there are some “closed hand issues” that will be the guiding tool to keep us on the same track and help those who need help.

You don’t have to have it all together, or even close.  Those who struggle with keeping pure thoughts or those who struggle with intense physical need and desire and the guilt from not being able to balance our desires with our desires for God — it’s all good.  Finding answers for those struggle, what faith, mercy, justice, love and forgiveness mean to you in your stage of life may be a fresh reminder to others to never forget those things that brought them closer to God and closer to peace.  How YOU got from one place to another, backwards and forwards, and all the steps in between are just as important and just as helpful as mine or anyone else’s.

If you’re interested, let’s talk.  Write me at formerlygay (at) gmail.com.  Maybe there’ll be a couple of additions this summer.
