Prayer Request (with a side of Meta)

I’m working on a third idea for a television pilot and it is happily the best idea of the three.  It’s a strong, marketable idea that’s timely, relevant, and dramatic.  It deals with forgiveness, repentance, mercy, resentment, and a whole lot of emotions in between.  And it’s about how God works in the dirtiest, broken, most-messed of us.  That alone brings me a considerable amount of joy, knowing that it’s entirely possible to write relevant, interesting drama that also brings glory to God by showing Him working in a realistic fashion among the lives of the disheartened.  When it’s done and registered with the writer’s guild, I’ll tell you the pilot’s story and where this fascenating journey is going.

Anyway, the finances are still a major stressor, but I’m taking steps tomorrow to meet some of the most pressing needs.  I have a series of things I need to sell off on Craigslist anyway, so your prayers for a good sale are most appreciated.

I think this discussion on “holding and being held” has some fascenating possibilities.  I think we’ll end up doing a lot of discussion in that thread, so keep checking the comments section.

Hope your weekend was a good one.  Looking forward to great conversations this week.

  1. My prayers are with you!

  2. As are mine. I had no idea you were a writer. Good luck with everything.

  3. You have been one of my favorite people for a very long time. When I look at you I see nothing but the “love of God” in your eyes Tammy Faye. I am praying for you. We have to remember that our God is a good God.
Even though we have never met, I feel I have a sister in you.
Do you know the song “Show Me Your Ways?” It goes show me your ways that I may walk with you…
I love you Tammy Faye and God is there with you. I know you know that. He has not deserted you even though during the bad times we feel he has.
I am praying for you…please hang in there…don’t give up.
